Recruitment FAQ – American First Investment Angola Lda.

For Candidates Applying to Our Angola Subsidiary

As American First Investment Angola Lda. launches operations in Luanda, we are actively building a strong, local team that reflects our global standards and commitment to excellence, inclusion, and opportunity. Below are answers to frequently asked questions for applicants interested in joining our Angola office.

 FAQs

  • Yes. We are in the initial setup phase and currently focused on building our foundational team in Angola. Recruitment will be phased and prioritize Angolan citizens and legal residents, especially during our launch stage. This requirement is imposed as we are not eligible to sponsor work-based visa in Angola yet.

Our recruitment process reflects the same professional standards used by our U.S. headquarters, including merit-based evaluation, transparency, and equal opportunity.

  • All employees at American First Investment Angola Lda. are subject to the labor laws of the Republic of Angola, as well as the internal corporate policies adopted by our global leadership team.

We are committed to operating in full compliance with both Angolan employment law and U.S. international business regulations to ensure fair, ethical, and lawful employment practices at all levels.

  • We are working to provide comparable social security, healthcare, and workplace benefits to those offered by our U.S. company—adjusted based on what is locally available and legally permitted.

Our goal is to ensure that all Angola-based employees receive fair treatment and equitable access to professional support, including clear paths for career growth, wellness support, and professional development.

  • Angola-based employees are not automatically eligible for H-1B or other U.S. work visas. However, in exceptional cases, if an employee is approved for transfer to our U.S. office and meets the necessary qualifications, we may consider visa sponsorship, subject to U.S. immigration law and business needs.

Likewise, to work in Angola, all candidates must have legal work authorization or residency status under Angolan law.

  • Absolutely. Our Angola team fully adheres to the same Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy as our U.S. headquarters.

We do not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, age, national origin, disability, or background, and we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and merit-based workplace where skills, performance, and potential determine success.
